Mexican Hat Prairie Coneflower

Mexican Hat Prairie Coneflower is a native of the eastern prairies of Wyoming, with blossoms set on tall slender stems 15 to 24 inches tall. The center cones are ringed by downward curving petals of mahogany (Red Mexican Hat) or bright yellow (Yellow Mexican Hat) giving the appearance of little sombreros!  Bloom season is midsummer to autumn. Planted in a mass, these plants make quite a display.  Choose one color or mix it up, we offer both varieties.  May reseed in gravelly soils for a natural looking planting.  Fittingly, Mexican Hat is our company's logo!
