Upcoming Gardening Classes

Classes will be held at The Wyoming Plant Company store at 358 S. Ash St. in Casper. Class sizes limited to 20 participants.

If you wish to give a class as a gift, you can purchase the gift through our shopping cart, and we will mail a gift certificate to the recipient. Check the "Ship to a different address?" box, if sending the gift certificate to a different address than yours, and also include the recipient's name, and any other relevant information, in the "Comments/Special Delivery Instructions" section.


Creating a Windbreak

Whether you live in town or have an expansive rural landscape we can help you to create a windbreak from the draining effects of the wind!  We'll cover all aspects
of creating a windbreak from placement to species selection and everything in between.

Free Landscaping Consultation Day!

Now is the perfect time to get you geared up and thinking about your landscape! The Wyoming Plant Company will provide you a free landscape consultation. Depending on your needs, we can design your garden during this one on one meeting.

However, if you are planning a full landscape design, including irrigation, hardscaping, contouring with rocks and walls or water features, this will require more in-depth planning. Scheduling now gets you moved to the front of the line, so to speak. Let's face it, we have a short growing season, so doing the creative work now will prepare us for the planting season.

Appointments taken from 9:00 am until 3:00, each appointment will be approximately 30 minutes of undivided attention addressing your landscape goals. If follow up is needed, we will work with you to create the landscape of your dreams. If at all possible, please bring photos and drawings of your property. Copy and paste in the newsletter text. and make a news release.

Fruits for Wyoming

Surprisingly, there are lots of fruits we can grow in Wyoming! Apples, grapes, pears, plums, even kiwi fruit. And then there are small fruits like raspberries, strawberries, and currants that thrive under our conditions. Many of the fruit trees are as old as any heirloom vegetable and yet still provides outstanding production and taste. We will discuss these plants and strategies that will make your orchard successful.
